Rocky Mountaineer Train Excursion
 & Victoria



7 Days September 26-October 2, 2021

Experience the Extraordinary unforgettable journey as the Rocky Mountaineer carves through otherwise inaccessible terrain.  Sheer sides of mountains, steep canyons, and untamed western wilderness you get up close and personal while enjoying it from the luxury of your seat. Wherever you look, each piece of the adventure will take your breath away.  Throughout your two-day journey enjoy the commentary of your on board experienced guide.




Due to the ongoing COVID restrictions in different areas and being observed by specific attractions some changes have had to be made to the origional itinerary.  The Chemanius theatre is not open therefore the dinner and show scheduled for Sept. 27 has been replaced.
On Wednessday September 29 you will now enjoy a 45 minute guided tour on Victoria harbour in a famous "Pickle Boat".  You will see highlights of the city catch a glimpse into the history of the Coast Salish people and learn about the fascinating Gorge Waterway. The Victoria Harbour Ferry "Combo Tour" travels the majority of Victoria's Inner Harbour and the lower part of the Gorge Waterway below the Bay Street Bridge.
After the harbour cruise we enjoy an evening meal together at the Harbour House Restaurant

As well the Craigdarrock Castle will not be open during our time in Victoria. 
This attraction has been substituted with a visit to the Victoria Butterfly Garden.
If you enjoy plants, butterflies, birds and fish you will love the settings of waterfalls, tropical vegitation beautiful butterflies and more



Day 1 - Enjoy the beautiful fall scenery as we travel through the Rocky Mountains via Rogers Pass to Kamloops.

Day 2 – Breakfast this morning is included in your tour package. Our route today takes us from Kamloops to the ferry at Tsawwassen. Crossing the Strait of Georgia we dock at Swartz Bay.  We travel to Victoria, for the next three nights.

Day 3 & 4 – Our hotel is situated in the prime location of Victoria Harbour. It's an easy walk from the hotel to the Hop On Hop Off bus stop, Empress Hotel,  Parliament buidlings, BC Museum, and many shopping
and dining options. Tuesday and Wednesday morning are yours to spend as you like.  Wednesday afternoon we gather for our Victoria Harbour cruise followed by dinner.






Day 5 – Our day starts off with a group breakfast before departing for Butterfly Gardens, followed by the world famous Butchart Gardens.  Admission and High Tea are included in your tour with lots of free time to walk throughout the gardens enveloping you in lush greens and colourful blooms. A must-see oasis, growing in Victoria for over 100 years.  It's back to the mainland by ferry from
Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen.

Day 6 – This morning we will embark on the Rocky Mountaineer train(Silver Leaf service level) to recline inside a luxury coach and let their captivating storytellers and culinary hosts make your journey remarkable.  The experienced guide will begin the intriguing tale of history as the train roles out of the station.  They will describe what happened right here, in yesteryear, when the railway tracks opened up the Rocky Mountains to Canada’s west coast.  As the vivid colors of the wild pass by, you will get a true sense of wonder for all its natural beauty.  You will journey through the farmlands of the Fraser Valley.  From the fertile greenery, the landscape transforms to the towering peaks of the Coast Mountains.  You’ll see the mighty Fraser River and the raging Whitewater of Hell’s Gate. Undergoing another transformation, the landscape brings you amid scrub bush and dessert. When the train stops and the sun sets arriving in Kamloops you are transported to a comfortable hotel for the night.

Day 7 – Boarding the train your adventure into the heart of the mountains begins in earnest.  Travelling along the South Thompson River you’ll witness historic Craigellachie.  This spot marks where the last spike was driven on the Canadian Pacific Railway line. You’ll gaze in wonder at cascading waterfalls from icy glaciers spilling over the lips of the peaks above on your way to the charming alpine town of Banff.  Homeward bound we disembark from the Rocky Mountaineer changing from transportation by train to transportation by coach.  We make our way back to Red Deer with a brief late evening supper break in Canmore.  Arriving back in Red Deer approximately midnight.


Cost per person:  Double Occupancy $3,200.00      Single Occupancy $3,820.00

** Non-refundable deposit of $250.00 per person required at the time of booking. 
This deposit will be applied to the total amount due upon final payment.


Final Payment is due in full by June 26, 2021  For bookings made after June 26, 2021 payment in full is required at the time of booking.
