Okanagan Valley Summer Tour
 

 

July 16-19, 2018
 

 

Mon. July 16: We start our tour travelling to Kelowna British Columbia. Making a stop in Golden for lunch (on your own). After lunch we 

experience the Revelstoke Railway Museum where History comes to life with fascinating artifacts & exhibits. Climb into the cab of a restored CPR steam locomotive. We arrive in picturest Kelowna where we will be staying for the next three nights.

Tues. July 17: After enjoying your full hot breakfast buffet we will make our way to Gatzke’s Farm 

Market. Gatzke's Farm Market offers beautiful ripe, juicy tree fruit, garden-fresh organic produce, and specialty products unique to the Okanagan including gourmet jams, jellies and Grandma Gatzke's famous homemade pies.  Having lunch (on your own) at Gatzke’s café where 

fresh and Natural ingredients become meals. This afternoon a visit to the Jammery and Karat Chocolate store for some amazing sweet treats.  Our evening is topped off with the Kelowna dinner cruise. This two hour dinner cruise will tour you around City Park, under the William R. Bennett Bridge, around the south side of the bridge with views of spectacular homes and vineyards, and back through the bridge for a picture perfect shot of the cityscape illuminated by the glow of Kelowna’s lights




Wed. July 18:
Today we start with a walk through the Kelowna farmers & crafters market that focus on handmade, locally-grown, and artisanal products.  A tour of the Lavender Herb Farm nestled in the hills of south Kelowna will be our next stop. This family oriented farm with18 different aromatic herbs and plants, including

 over 60 varieties of lavender, that are grown, harvested and dried.  With the Okanagan Valley know for its wineries we will be sure to stop for a tour and taste.  This evening is completed with a dinner theatre show “Love Letters” an enduring romance about first loves and second chances at the Kelowna Actors Studio.        



 

Thurs. July 19: A leisurely day driving back to Red Deer today stopping in Vernon to the Village Cheese and the Swan Lake market to purchase some BC fruit.  With a lunch break in Revelstoke (on your own) we make our way back to Red Deer by approximately 7pm.
