July 11
We depart Red Deer to start our Newfoundland adventures heading to the Calgary airport. Flight time to be determined. There will be a short
layover in Toronto.

July 12
Our day will be spent exploring St John's, the capital of Newfoundland and Labrador. A guided city tour will fill our day, with stops at Signal Hill, Quidi Vidi Village, and Cape Spear. With a day filled full of many sights including the oldest surviving lighthouse in Newfoundland and Labrador.
July 13
Enjoy the community of Brigus on Conception Bay, and visit Hawthorne Cottage, home of Captain Bob Bartlett. Enjoy a short walk to the Brigus tunnel, take a visit to Ye Olde Stone Barn museum. Our next stop is Cupids Legacy Centre, the Birthplace of English Canada, and a guided plantation tour.
July 14
It's a full day today as we explore the Irish Loop travelling along the southeastern part of Avalon Peninsula. A break from travel with a Puffin and Whale watch boat tour, and a visit to Ferryland Visitor Centre, known as the best preserved early English colonial site in North America.
A group supper tonight in Trepassey is included in tour package.
July 15
We start our day at the Johnson Geo Centre and our tour will include the Titanic gallery. The luxury steamer met its tragic demise just 350 miles from the Johnson GEO Centre, hitting one of the hulking icebergs that continue to visit the coast today. Next stop, we declare you an honorary Newfoundlander as we partake in a Screech-In ceremony. The afternoon is free to explore on your own.
July 16
We leave St. John's behind as we begin travelling west to Clarenville, with a brief stop in Harbour Grace for a picture of the famous Amelia Earhart statue. Our next adventure is Heart's Content Cable Station, the first permanent telegraph cable connecting Europe and North America.
After our group lunch (included in tour package) sit back and enjoy the scenery on the way to Clarenville.

July 17
It's the Discovery Trail today, including Trinity, and Cape Bonavista. For generations mariners along this coast used the light at Cape Bonavista as their only connection to land while out on the dark sea. A prime location to
spot whales, icebergs and puffins. We arrive in the welcoming town of Gander for the next two nights.

July 18
An exciting day travelling the Road to the Isles. Our first visit will be the Beothuk Interpretive Centre,...imagine... a now-extinct people with a unique language and culture, thriving on the rich resources of the land and sea.
After lunch and a show at Twillingate Dinner Theatre, the afternoon is full as we visit Twillingate Wooden Boat Builder, St Peter's Anglican Church, and Twillingate Museum.
Wine tasting before our included supper at the Auk Island winery. Their unique wine is made from Newfoundland berries and fruits and some specialty wines using iceberg water.
July 19
Our day starts with a guided tour of Gander airport to learn how this amazing town housed 7000 people during 9/11. After time at the North Atlantic Aviation museum, we tour the Salmonid
Interpretive Centre, where our guides give you a look at the life of the Atlantic Salmon..quite different than our Pacific variety.
It's off to Deer Lake for 2 nights

July 20
A day to relax as we make a short tour to the Corner Brook area. Picture stops include Newfoundland and Labrador's Heritage tree, and Captain James Cook's Historical site. You will have some time in Corner Brook
on your own for lunch before a drive to the south shore and Bottle Cove.
July 21
It's the Viking Trail today, and a guided tour at the Viking Centre in St. Lunaire, the most northerly tip of the island of Newfoundland. Travel back in time to where the Vikings once stood. This national site is the only authentical Norse site in North America. Talk to characters who will bring the Viking history to life. We arrive at St. Anthony’s situated on the northern reaches of the Great Northern Peninsula,
our home for the next two nights.

July 22
Explore St Anthony, learn the roll Sir Wilfred Thomason Grenfell, a medical missionary played in the history of Newfoundland. We will take a walk in the footsteps of Grenfell’s beloved home & surroundings. A boat cruise this afternoon, hopefully to find some icebergs
up close. Enjoy a fun evening with a Viking Feast.
July 23
Heading back to Deer Lake for our farewell supper, to share our
adventures and memories of Newfoundland.
